This picture was taken actually the first time we saw Hannah smile. It seems she was smiling at her crib mobile but...all in good time. Funny how we just noticed that she looks to be smiling in the picture below. This picture was taken on Christmas eve. A good gift for us.

On Christmas day, Hannah is wearing part of the First Christmas outfit brought by Santa Rachel Klick Claus. To be honest, Hannah prefers to be naked.

Grandma holding Hannah on Christmas

Grandma held the baby, while Elizabeth and Jacob kissed her on the head and patted her gently.

This like a piece of art or a part of Ulysses that I don't fully understand. It's cool, but I don't know what it means.

Mama likes to be sure that Hannah knows the escape routes.

leg movement

It is nice to have some leg movement to move the bubbles through the system.

Laura and Parker came over to bring us food again. Laura has two children. We only have one child, but this is the second time she has brought us food. Gold star for her.

Now that Hannah is three weeks old, I have to go to work for four hours each day. But it is not so bad.

Hannah is increasingly calm when we change her diaper. I don't know what this means. It might be that she is less afraid or upset or that we have learned how to comfort her better. Perhaps she likes the songs that I sing to her. Or it migth be that she has already begun to resign herself to the thigns in life that we simply must endure.

My Beautiful Girls

Saturday is a great day because I get to be home with my girls.

Siggy's Suit

Even though Siggy didn't get to visit us this weekend, Hannah still got to appreciate her kindness by wearing one of the suits she gave us.

After the Diaper Change

The diaper change is an important time for me. Some things I cannot do, but this is something I can do. It takes a certain elusive dexterity soothe her and change the diaper simultaneously. After the change has been made, sometimes we hang out and talk things over together.

I found this song whilst looking for a Youtube version of the Mary Poppins song 'Everyday is a holiday with you Bert'.

Snacks make you feel better

You have to tilt your head to enjoy this one. Sorry about that.

My mother stayed with us from Sun to Weds. It was nice to have some help. Also, notice the coffee bread that is wrapped in foil brought to us from Tafanie. Sometimes the food people brought to us was too good to keep in the house, so I brought half of the coffee cake to work in an effort to fatten up my colleagues! Also, notice the snowflakes in the background.

Hannah loves the mornings. In fact, she loves to sleep at night, but does not sleep well in the daytime.

Grandma's Song

Ingrid and Shuana and Hannah

Wednesday, December 3, 2008

This occurs during activity time, when papa gets to hold little Hannah.
Perhaps the 'easy swaddler' doesn't make Hannah very happy because she is singing me many songs tonight!

Tuesday, December 2, 2008

Hannah has learned to sing us a sweet sweet song.

We wrapped Hannah in one of the 'easy swaddlers'.

Little Hannah with her eyes wide open looking at the Christmas lights behind me.

Thank you LORD for our healthy wonderful child. We're overwhelmed with joy.

Enjoying our celebratory  meal delivered room service just before bringing Hannah home.

Hannah likes it!

It wasn't that hard now was it?...Except for that one part.
